Webb told her that he was a wanderer by nature and explores areas as he walks along a new place to sleep every night, new things to see every day.

Shelly was fascinated by the idea, but she saw flaws in the idea.

She asked Webb, “What about having a home to go to every night, friends to see, familiar things all around you, a sense of feeling like you belong to somewhere to something?”

Webb, either being too young to understand, or maybe spiders are raised differently than turtles and other animals, did not see the differences and how they applied to him.
